Pediatric neurosurgeons deal specifically with diseases that affect the central and peripheral nervous in the young population. This small group of intensely trained neurosurgeons have undergone further specialized training past their residency to take care of the unborn fetus to those 18 years of age or adults with congenital disorders.

Areas of interest include brain or spinal cord tumors, craniosynostosis, spasticity, hydrocephalus, spina bifida, epilepsy, vascular malformation, Chiari Malformations and trauma.
